Gustave was wearing this pair of dark, round-lensed sunglasses when he first came into Cassie’s bookshop. They’re called teashades or John Lennon glasses and were made popular by members of the 1960s counterculture. Teashades was also used to describe glasses worn to hide the effects of recreational drugs.
